Ultra-high resolution & scalable production solution
Piranha Multipipe utilizes the rich network capabilities and uptime
stability of Linux to provide a real-time content creation solution for
high-resolution theatres, advanced visualization and public exhibition
spaces.
|
Simple Scalablility
Piranha Multipipe takes advantage of the latest Nvidia genlock enabled video technology to lock multiple nodes in a cluster together.
With basic network protocols and standardized file systems, Piranha multipipe can run on networks as simple as Gig-E or utilize advanced topologies such as Infiniband and SAN file systems.

Dome Tools
Piranha Multipipe provides a set of effects and capabilities developed specifically for the needs of hemispherical projection. Realtime-3D spherical projection allows 3D scenes to be warped as they are displayed, making the correction of curved or even non-linear surfaces possible.

|
Multipipe Effects
Working on the master control station, realtime manipulation of images on the cluster is as simple as adding effects and moving controls. All changes on the master control station are immediately seen in realtime across the cluster. Realtime color correction and effects at resolutions never before dreamed possible.

Segmented Playback
For playing back uncompressed content at high resolutions, Piranha
Multipipe utilizes segmented frames distributed across the cluster to
each nodes local storage. With each node taking responsibility for a
'piece' of the final image, massive scalability of resolution is as
easy as adding new nodes.
|
Floating Point Pipeline
Piranha Mulipipe has a full 16bit floating point imaging pipeline. High bit depth images such as ILMs OpenEXR format can be read and manipulated directly in Piranha's Multipipe's effects pipeline.
External Genlock
Piranha supports the latest Nvidia graphics cards which provide hardware framelocking across all nodes in the cluster. This also
provides house sync for locking of other components such as audio devices... or more Piranha Multipipe clusters.

Clustered Rendering
Committing effects changes and rendering down new playback segments takes complete
advantage of the cluster. Since Piranha renders all content via OpenGL,
a 30 minute show can be fully re-rendered in close to realtime.
|
422 Slave Control
In addition to Piranha Multipipe's onscreen controls, the system can also be remote controlled with a variety of 422 serial devices.
